Ranking the Olds

Sure, we may like all the Olds (Crow, Grand-Dad, and Overholt), and they may all have distinct, valid merits. But this isn't about even-handedness. THIS IS ABOUT PLAYING FAVORITES.

#3: Old Grand-Dad

"Sweet with a subtle rye spice. This bourbon is delicious and won't break the bank. Even Bukowski liked it, and that man hated everything." - Greg
"I don't know. They're all good." - Evan
"More of a compromise than the other two Olds, but I won't say no if you give it to me." - Quinn

#2: Old Crow

"A poor man's Jim Beam, but don't let that deter you! This corn-forward bourbon is best served in a cocktail." - Greg
"Cheap as shit, doesn't taste like shit, and it's badass." - Evan
"My personal favorite. It's superdrinkable." - Quinn

#1: Old Overholt

"A classic straight rye whiskey that is good on its own or in a cocktail. Spicy and smooth. A must have for any stocked bar." - Greg
"Cheap as shit, doesn't taste like shit. Good for almost any use." - Evan
"King of whisky cocktails: keeps the taste, doesn't make you feel like you wasted expensive whisky in a sour. Overholt." - Quinn
