2015 Midyear Top 10 Whiskies Countdown: #5

The countdown cracks the top 5!
We're halfway through the year (or just finished up the fiscal), so it's time to take stock of what we've done so far. TIME TO RANK THE TOP 10 WHISKIES!

Disclaimer: this is a top 10 of the whiskies we've podcasted about over the last 6 months. This is not a top 10 of all whiskies ever.

#5 Bruichladdich Port Charlotte

Peat! It scares off many new whisky drinkers, and the Port Charlotte had it in spades. Clearly, we liked it. Check out the Bruichladdich site here.

"Bruichladdich never fails to impress, and the Port Charlotte is no exception. Though peat and smoke are the prevalent tones, they make way to a sweetness that makes for a fantastic expression. It maintains Bruichladdich's position as one of the best distilleries in the world." - Evan

"This one was number 1 on my personal list. A heavily peated Islay whisky that is not for the single malt noob. It might not have an age statement, but it does not lack for boldness in flavor. Smokey and delicious!" - Greg

"This was noms." - Quinn

Tune in tomorrow for #4!
