2015 Midyear Top 10 Whiskies Countdown: #9

Runner up to last! Which really isn't bad, considering that overall it's 9 out of 25.
We're halfway through the year (or just finished up the fiscal), so it's time to take stock of what we've done so far. TIME TO RANK THE TOP 10 WHISKIES!

Disclaimer: this is a top 10 of the whiskies we've podcasted about over the last 6 months. This is not a top 10 of all whiskies ever.

#9 Auchentoshan 12 year

The only unpeated scotch we've had on the podcast, the Auchentoshan took us by surprise. Visit their website here.

"Everyone calls this 'the breakfast whisky' and if it weren't for gainful employment and a moderate (if you can call it moderate) sense of decorum, I would take full advantage of that title and wash down my eggs and bacon with it. Light as sweet, you could almost call it a 'session' whisky. That is until you wake up the next morning... and have more." - Evan

"Tasty, unpeated lowland single malt scotch. Very easy drinking with this one - it's easy to understand why it has the nickname 'the breakfast whisky.'" - Greg

"This is a good whisky to keep around that's safe from being gobbled up by your peat-loving friends." - Quinn

Tune in tomorrow for #8!
