2015 Midyear Top 10 Whiskies Countdown!

Everyone loves a top 10 list. You know you do. Number 10 after the bump!
We're halfway through the year (or just finished up the fiscal), so it's time to take stock of what we've done so far. TIME TO RANK THE TOP 10 WHISKIES!

Disclaimer: this is a top 10 of the whiskies we've podcasted about over the last 6 months. This is not a top 10 of all whiskies ever.

Today: #10 Redbreast

Redbreast 12 year is the only Irish whiskey to make the top 10, and the only Irish whiskey we've had so far. The Redbreast website describes the taste as "Christmas cake" - and we agree that it's sweet, a bit fruity, and medicinal.

"Coming from a Jewish household, I have no idea what fruitcake tastes like. If it's anything like the many comparisons claim, then I will take every last one you goyim try to discard come January. Irish whiskey tends to get a bit of a bum rap for its thinner flavors, but this expression has a lot to offer in the way of its sherry-tinged taste profile." - Evan

"I don't typically go for whiskey of the Irish variety, but this is certainly a tasty one. It might be on the pricier side, but you will get what you pay for and you won't be disappointed. Also a great gift idea." - Greg

"I was meh on this one, and I remain meh." - Quinn
